Quick answer

We prepare, check and lodge your BAS as a registered tax agent. GST, PAYG withholding and PAYG instalments are reconciled to your books first, so what you report matches your accounts.

What we need to start

  • Access to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks
  • Bank statements for the period
  • Sales and purchase invoices
  • Payroll and PAYG records
  • Your last BAS if you are switching to us
Good to know: not registered for GST yet? Start with GST registration. If your records are behind, our bookkeeping service can bring them up to date, and payroll services keep PAYG withholding right each pay run.

What affects the cost of your BAS lodgement

We give you a quote before any work starts. The fee depends on:

  • How often you lodge (monthly, quarterly or annually)
  • How many transactions you have
  • Whether PAYG withholding for staff is included
  • The state of your records and any overdue periods

What to know before you lodge your BAS

The 2026-27 due dates and the two rules that catch most businesses out.

Quarterly BAS due dates for 2026-27

Lodge and pay by the ATO date. When we lodge electronically for you and your previous BAS was also lodged electronically, the later agent date applies. Monthly BAS is due on the 21st of the following month.

01
What you report

A BAS covers more than GST

Most businesses report and pay several taxes on the one form.

  • GST on sales (1A) and GST credits on purchases (1B)
  • PAYG tax withheld from wages (W1 and W2)
  • PAYG instalments towards income tax, and FBT instalments if they apply
How we help: we reconcile each label to your accounts before we lodge.
02
Late lodgement

A late BAS costs more than the tax

The ATO can charge a failure to lodge penalty and interest on tax paid late.

  • 1 penalty unit ($364 from 1 July 2026) for each 28 days late, up to 5 units for small businesses
  • General interest charge on unpaid amounts
  • Higher penalties for medium and large businesses
How we help: we set reminders and lodge before each due date.
